Looking for Good Quality Racing Bike

I'm getting into road racing and am searching for a road bike that is fairly new and in good condition. I have a Schwinn Varsity and would be willing to trade + $300. Preferred brands are Trek, Cannondale, or Raleigh.

I've been driving a diamond back mountain bike and I am a witness to its performance. It's 10% machine + 90 % human performance. diamondback mountain bike reviews
